FAB Club day at Kent Motorcycles, Sunday 30th August
News Articles - Events
Hadrian at Kent Motorcycles had very kindly organised a number of demonstrator bikes that club members could try, and even threw in a free breakfast. On the day, 7 club members and one non-member attended and enjoyed a brief ride on some of the demonstrators on offer.
The first batch out was KB on a Fireblade, Jan on a CB1000R and Dave Shep on a CB1300S. After the first few miles KB wanted to take the Fireblade back and Jan wasn't that keen on the CB although Dave loved the 1300.
Next out, KB took the CB1000R, Kevin R rode the CB1300S and Dave took a VFR800. You could see the smile on KB's face under his crash helmet! The CB1000R really is a hooligan but so easy to ride and with a very comfortable riding position.
After a while Shaun decided he'd like to try a CBF600 and so the last ride saw KB on a Pan European, Jan on the CB1300S, Shaun on the 600 and Trevor on the VFR. Jan obviously enjoyed the 1300, she said she'd have to start saving!
Even after only three rides we found that we'd spent almost three hours at Kent's and had to get back promptly for KB's barbecue that afternoon. All in all, a very enjoyable time and something that could easily be replicated as an annual club event.
Thanks to Hadrian and Pete at Kent Motorcycles, and to all FAB members who attended.
