Breakfast Run to Ramsgate 10th May
Arriving at Brookland Lake car park at 9.20am on Sunday morning we were a little disappointed at the low turn-out, however with JV, Stewart and Russell already there and Dave and Mary arriving soon after we were ready for the off, and then James and his mate Steve turned up and we had seven bikes and one pillion for the run.

Taking the fast route via the M20, A249 and M2, we stopped off just after Brenley Corner to pick up Jan (or JET as she is now known!) together with her sister Jill and her husband David, driving a very tasty BMW, who had been staying for the weekend, and headed down the Thanet Way to Ramsgate and the Westcliffe Leisure Cafe. On arrival, photographer Rick and his wife Angela were set up and starting to take photos of the bikes.
What a superb venue, good parking, outdoor seating, great food and warm sunshine - Dave had again excelled himself. Whilst breakfast was being served Ken arrived having taken his bike down in the van, he struggled to get it started and gave up and joined us. Immediately after Brian and his partner Wendy turned up swelling the ranks to thirteen bikers and four guests.
After breakfast Rick wanted to get some more photos done and we managed to persuade Ken to offload his lovely Triumph Tiger Cub, and lo and behold it started! Whilst pics were taken in various locations, Dave and JV decided to test ride a number of other bikes, JV enjoying the Intruder 1800 and Wildstar, Dave taking a short blast on the Tiger Cub.
At midday we all went back to the cafe for another cup of tea before heading home, Dave and Mary taking cavalcade along the scenic route back.
Many thanks to Dave for organising another great run. Thanks too to Rick and Angela for taking time to meet with us and taking the photos. The pics will appear very soon. Thanks to Jill and David for spending time with us before heading back to the Midlands, safe journey.
