FAB 7 Easter Bunny's
Dave, JV, Darren, James, Mary, Billy and myself met at the Brooklands Lakes for a 12.30 leave, we were EGGED on by Rod who had HOPPED over to take some photo's.
We was heading to Whitstable for the meet up in the Gorral Tank car park, when we arrived we had to queue to get in as there were hundreds of bikes already there, we BURROWED around the car park to have a look at the bikes, all types were represented, Trikes, Sports, Cruiser, British, Classic Japs, Mopeds, Mini Bikes, Scooters ..... I don't think anything was missing!! All to the soundtrack of bike arriving and a live band.
After a quick burger we set of down the coast road, through Herne Bay and off to Canturbury. ... where else would you go for an Easter event?
The run was well organised with marshals stopping traffic at junctions and then HOPPING back to the front to do another junction, there was bikes as far in front and behind us as we could see and it ROLO'd along at a nice pace so we could take in the sights and wave and toot to the crowds that were gathered all along the route. I thought Dave was going to wear his horn out!!!!
On arrival at the School we took our eggs inside and added them to the mountain of eggs already delivered.
All in all a good run with not a WHISPA of bad weather and a very good atmosphere.
Dave and Mary stayed in Canterbury for dinner whilst the rest of us headed off for home thinking that the Whitstable Toy Run Association had done a very good job and that we should make it a club event next year!!
